The weather shifts quickly in the Scandinavian mountain chain. Here, in Saelen, the day started out clear and bright as only an autumn day can be. In the afternoon the rain and mist swept in swiftly and in less than an hour it grew into a fog where the mountain side has vanished into a grey nothingness.
I was brought up surrounded with materials, gadgets, tools, space and constant talk about testing, observing, reflecting, inventing and dreaming about how to do and how it is perceived. To paint and test different techniques. Regular practice in croquis and life model drawing begun at the age of fourteen.
